You have a favorite whiskey….and you’re turning the big 4-0…so naturally, you need a whiskey barrel cake!
For Jason’s cake, we layered cakes and carved them into the barrel shape. We then iced the cake in buttercream and added a woodgrain texture to it. We let this set until firm and then painted it with food color, so that the color would seep into the grooves and give the wood a dimensional look. We then added the fondant bands, whiskey label and sentiment on the board. Happy 40th Birthday, Jason!!
