Drip cakes are here to stay! What started as a trend on dessert cakes has quickly become mainstream with drips made from ganache and more! Party cakes…wedding cakes…ALL CAKES love the drip!
The cake below was for a wedding at Glass Chapel in Broken Arrow, OK. This dessert table was overflowing with deliciousness with cupcakes, fruit and flowers! This ganache drip served as an accent and a garnish with cake, buttercream icing and fresh fruit. PC = Andi Bravo Photography
The cake above was for a wedding at the newly updated Harwelden Mansion in Tulsa, OK. This cake featured horizontal textured buttercream making the drip a little more difficult. This drip was made from white chocolate. Once the white chocolate is heated and thinned, it is dripped around the tiers. Once it sets, it’s then hand-painted with an edible gold paint.
The cake below also featured a sporadic gold drip, but this time it was over a nearly naked buttercream base. The flowers and fresh fruit were added atop each drip giving the illusion of luscious dripping fruit. This cake was for a beautiful wedding at Greenleaf Barn in Broken Arrow, OK.
The two cakes below were for twins and were dripped in white chocolate, which was then painted rose gold. And the pink rosette cake was for a photo smash session. It featured white chocolate that was tinted pink and then dripped, so no painting was required.
Clearly there is a drip style for everyone! What can we drip for you?
