Just Peachy!

This petite cake is a 6″ round to serve up to 10 people. We iced in in peach buttercream and added brush and spatula strokes around the sides. We then smoothed out the cake completely leaving the various colors in place.

We added a jumbo sugar peony dusted pink on top and carnations and ranunculus at the base. I love the simple design and accents!

We Love Cookies!

We have had some really cute cookie sets heading out the door lately!

These are our scratch sugar cookies that we decorate with royal icing. Our royal icing is a butter vanilla flavor that isn’t too sweet.

Cookies have become increasingly popular in the last few years. We often will create a cake with matching cookies. Sometimes the cookies are served at the party on the dessert table and other times the cookies are heat sealed and given as party favors. Either way, WE LOVE COOKIES!

You’re So Golden

Gold is still in for weddings – in a BIG way!

For this wedding cake, we iced each tier in white buttercream and added a white bead border at the base of each tier. For the lace, we used our silicone lace mat and added our lace mixture and let it dry completely. Once it’s dry, we peeled it from the mold and painted it gold. The final step is to place it on the cake. Typically, the little bit of moisture on the cake will make it easy for the lace to adhere to the cake. If you need something extra, a little bit of vodka or clear alcohol will do the trick!

We finished off this cake with a fondant “B” monogram and painted it to match the lace. We were so excited to see that the cake stand the bride selected matched perfectly!

Sweet Sixteen!

This cake was a gorgeous four tier cake iced completely in buttercream. The top tier was Red Velvet with the bottom three tiers being Vanilla with different fillings in each tier.

Once the cake was crumb coated and final iced, we stacked the cake. Once stacked, we thoroughly chilled the cake. We then were able to pipe the petite buttercream details and bead borders. Once this was done, we chilled the cake once again. It’s always easier to decorate a chilled cake!

Once the detailed piping and bead borders were added, we painted them gold. This gold matched the party decor and cake stand perfectly! Onsite, we added the topper and name plate. The gold and white theme was so regal and gorgeous!

Game On!

We get game console requests quite often and they are always so fun to create!

The console itself is typically made from cake. And the controller is often made from rice cereal treats covered in fondant. Both are edible, but we often hear from clients that they saved their controllers because they look so realistic.

So Beary Cute!

These bubble/ball cakes are so popular right now! Bubble cakes have a variety of balls in different sizes that travel down the cake like a balloon arch. These balls are typically made ahead of time and can be made from candy, gum balls, fondant and even styrofoam.

For this cake, we iced three layers of an 8″ round making it an 8″ round jumbo to serve 24. The cake itself was simply iced in smooth buttercream. We then added the bubbles, clouds and the bear in the hot air balloon basket. Adorable!

I Just Want Your Extra Time And Your…

How cute is this KISS cake?!

This cake was created from a 6″ jumbo, which is three layers of cake with filling in between each layer. We crumb coated the cake in buttercream to lock in the crumbs and then chilled the cake. Next came the final coat of buttercream and another round of chilling in the fridge.

For the accents on the cake, we created the fondant lips and made some macarons. We added a lime green drip to the cake and then attached the premade accents. We added some buttercream stars with a tip 21 and the cake was complete. Muah!

Nine Tier Wedding Cake

Nine tiers. You read that right. N I N E Tiers of cake!

This cake was amazing to create. The inside was a combination of Chocolate Cake, Vanilla Cake and Red Velvet Cake with varying fillings. We allow our clients to have a different flavor and filling in each tier if they choose. It’s always fun to offer your guests a few different flavors to choose from.

The outside of this cake was iced in white buttercream. For the bottom three tiers, we added small fondant diamonds using these cutters. We had several smooth tiers and some we airbrushed gold. At the base of each tier we added a gold fondant band to anchor each tier. A jumbo fondant monogram was added tot he front of the third tier.

Once the cake was onsite at the venue, we placed the flowers that the bride provided in a spiral cascade. They added the perfect pop of red to the white and gold of the cake. Our favorite faux flowers for cakes are these. They are more realistic than those found in local craft stores and come in so many colors!

Whether you have a single tier or nine, we promise to put our heart and soul into your cake!
